Nina Cuso is a fashion designer in New York City. She herself is eccentric and takes an eccentric approach to the designs she creates. Most designers focus their clothing line on one size or a small range of sizes, but not her. She creates clothing for everyone regardless of size, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, any physical disabilities or any other factors.
Her daring designs allow literally anyone to freely express their chosen identity in a society that’s constantly looking for something to judge. They’re perfect (and intended) for anyone who couldn’t care less what other people think of them.
Christina a.k.a Nina
Christina Michael Mancuso, also known as Nina Cuso, was an only child in Los Angeles. She attended a private high school and gained leadership skills from being captain for the cheerleading team. Once finishing high school, she moved to New York to focus on acting and modeling while being in school. She tried to study fashion design at Parsons School of Design, but dropped out to focus on her acting career. She worked at the Hypnodrome Theater and became interested in costume design. Her acting career and love for costume design came together on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s.
Acting And Fashion
Her role on Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s lead to her fashion design career taking off. In two thousand eighteen, she collaborated with Jaxon Yang and created the collection Jxy n’ Cuso. That brand got renamed Nina Cuso. She has the mindset that people should be free to express their true identity through their clothes; that’s what inspired this brand. This brand is meant to bring awareness to issues such as bullying and discrimination of gender and identity. The intention is to be apart of the ongoing battle to bring those issues to an end. Growing up, she used clothes to figure out her identity. She now creates clothes that allow the individuals that makeup society to do the same.
Creating Equality Among Everyone
Nina Cuso has respect for everyone regardless of who they are as a person. She hopes the clothes she designs will create a sense of equality for anyone considered to be an ‘outcast’ or ‘not normal’ (something the world we live in desperately needs). There is no specific size or gender targeted. The Nina Cuso brand is perfect for the people who otherwise don’t feel like they belong anywhere in our current society. It’s a step towards shaping into a society where everyone can feel accepted without ‘fitting in’.
Equality In Clothes
Even though Nina Cuso is likely not the only designer who believes in equality of gender and sexuality, she actually corporates it into her designs. This way, transgenders, and nonbinaries will feel like they’re being thought of and included in the Nina Cuso collection. There are plenty of options for those who don’t appeal to being masculine or feminine.

Nina Cuso is against bullying just as thousands of other people are and should be. She’d rather no one be bullied just as much as the people who are bullied for simply wanting to be themselves. There are still people out there who are completely close-minded and firmly believe someone’s gender should be the sex they were assigned to at birth. Even if they’re set on this belief, they should still accept that there are people who don’t feel they identify with their biological sex.
The process of creating an equal society has been going on for years and will no doubt continue for several more years. Nina Cuso’s clothing line is one of several steps in the right direction. There are hundreds of people who don’t ‘fit in’ to societal norms, but they don’t have to. Nina is amazing and idolizing as both a fashion designer and a person.
