Too many people in Urban youth culture joke about being a ‘finesse’ artist today. Rapper Meek Mill has made music videos, imitating the lifestyle of people with ‘pieces’ hitting stores. Bay area rapper Guapdad 4000 even has a song with a music video, “Scamboy” (watch now). There’s even the uber famous social media star, Joanne the Scammer, who made riches off being a glamorous, male drag queen finesse.
Even hit female rap group City Girls brag of dating men who pull such capers in new song “Act Up,” written by Lil Yachty. The punch, Lil Yachty was busted for scamming credit cards before he became a platinum rapper. Put all of these Urban celebs together and none can touch the ‘Fake Heiress’ of Germany. Her finesse was 1 of 1. Foreigner Anna Sorokin was so good she even convinced a US bank to give her a $100K personal loan, which she had no plans to pay back.
It’s one thing to scam but once caught, how many have the ‘balls’ to admit they aren’t ashamed of it? Mrs. Sorokin had balls the size of a space planet orbiting the sun. What she had to say about her actions to various publications, before her court hearing, was a shock.
“The thing is, I’m not sorry,” said the fake heiress. She told the New York Times this in a jailhouse interview earlier. She continued, “I’d be lying to you and to everyone else and to myself if I said I was sorry for anything. I regret the way I went about certain things.”
The results of her boldness came back to bite her in the rear in court, however. At her official trial on Thursday, May 7th, she changed her entire tone.
“I apologize for the mistakes I made,” said Sorokin to the presiding judge & courts. The damage was done, however. She was sentenced to 4 to 12 years for her acts of swindling banks, hotels, and wealthy New Yorkers.
Who is this female scammer?
Sorokin is now coming to fame under her moniker, “The German Heiress Scammer.” She operated under a fake identity, calling herself Anna Delvey. Her real name is Anna Sorokin and she is an attractive 28-year-old woman who was born in Russia. As a youth, she migrated to the United States and by her twenties called New York City home.
While the ‘heiress’ told everyone she was a wealthy trust fund baby with $60-million-dollars, she actually never even had half-a-million. Her father had a respectable job in the trucking industry before he switched into heating-and-cooling. However, he has no luxury assets and wealth, like that of which Anna Sorokin dreamed.
What did she take?
According to the news network BBC, ‘Heiress Delvey’ finessed people out of $200,000 so far. However, those numbers could increase or some victims may be embarrassed to admit they were duped. The most impressive feat, somehow the Russian-born, German actress, convinced City National Bank in NYC to give her a personal loan of $100,000. She ‘finessed’ them by forging documents and giving fake proof of foreign assets. Once her payments on the loan kept bouncing, the bank officially rang the alarms.
The other $100,000 Sorokin managed to finesse came from various wealthy New Yorkers who saw she was living lavishly. She told those ‘fanatics’ watching her ball out at luxury hotels and high-end stores, her father created a $60-million-dollar trust fund for her. Along with this, she also was the heiress to various international businesses. Everyone watching the show believed her without a doubt. People began thinking she was an intelligent businesswoman and money magnet. Therefore, once Sorokin asked them to be a part of her art center, the ‘Anna Delvey Foundation,’ everyone wanted to join in.
Once she had their money, the fake heiress was far from done. She then went to a bank where she tried to get an even bigger loan of $22-million-dollars. This would be to fund her art club. It was denied.
Nonetheless, this did not stop her from racking out bigger debts with private jet companies and other luxury services. All of these companies are investigating her resources and elite social circle friends who referred Sorokin. These various businesses want now to see if they can sue people who helped her obtain accounts.
Getting Exposed
WIthout the major $22,000,0000 loan, Sorokin could not keep up with the lifestyle she was ‘showing off’. She was living in a very expensive hotel in America’s most expensive city. When going out by Uber or to restaurants, she was tipping people $100 bills to ‘wow’ her friends from NYC’s elite social circles. The clothing she had to dress in came from luxury stores like Net-a-Porter and she bought clothing like Forward by Elyse Walker. The $100k she got from the bank loan, ran out super fast.
Once the money ran out, the various accounts she had begun knocking and calling to collect. After various excuses and no money, they began to investigate “Anna Delvey” and figured out she was fake. That is when authorities were called in.
Once investigators got the case, they began researching Sorokin’s social circles to figure out if they were involved with her scam. What they then found, the ‘friends’ too had been scammed. At that point, Anna was arrested.
A month-long trial was held after her arrest. Ultimately Sorokin lost the case and was found guilty of theft. Her lawyers argued that she had intentions to pay back every bit of the debt, but the District Attorney used a stronger argument to prove otherwise.
The former “Heiress Anna Delvey” will now have to serve 4 years minimum in prison. With bad behavior or more problems, her total term could end up being 12 years. It was initially thought she would have to do closer to 15 years but the judge shaved off 3.
Most recently a photographer for Sorokin released video recordings of the Russian finesse. Photographer Jesse Hawk shot the ‘vlog’ style content which shows Anna lamping in Morocco with other youth. Her associates are from families really have wealth and believed in the ‘Anna Delvey” lies. The trip further supported her image as she rented a private helicopter, sipped the most expensive champagnes and wines, and even stayed at another luxury hotel (it appears in the video).
Watch the video of Sorokin’s trip below. This will be the last luxury trip people see of her for some time. Investigators think she’s worth literally only a few bucks, without the money of others. However, her finessing skills are that of legends. However, once she gets out of prison, she may want to try fast and legal personal loans by Lending Bee Singapore to fund her new ideas. Somewhere reputable but far away from the United States.
