But what's happening in Frankfort - even if the topics aren't as "sexy" or, to the few who know about them, seem "par for the course" in government - affect Kentuckians more than anything happening in Tigerworld.

Kentucky Scores Eight out of Ten in Emergency Health Preparedness Report

WEBSTER COUNTY, KY – A new report released by the Trust for America’s Health (TFAH) ranks Kentucky as achieving a score of eight out of 10 criteria used to measure states’ preparedness to respond to public health emergencies and acts of bioterrorism.

Trade Deficit Killing Jobs

WEBSTER COUNTY, KY - As President Obama huddles with invitees to discuss continued high unemployment, several observations should be made.  First, representatives from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce were not invited.  One can rightly surmise that this snub is the result of the Chamber’s opposition to much of the President’s health care bill.
