WEBSTER COUNTY, KY – Those traveling on KY 874/Lisman Road in Webster County should be aware of milling and paving roadwork scheduled for this week.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that the work is expected to take place on Thursday and Friday, July 29 & 30, 2010.
 
This project runs along KY 874/Lisman Road starting at the KY 270 intersection in the Lisman community at mile point 0.0 and extends northward to the intersection with KY 1340, a distance of 2.02 miles.
 
Milling is expected to start Thursday morning. Asphalt paving through the project area is expected Friday, July 30th. The contractor plans to pave full width. That will require KY 874 to be closed to through traffic for a short distance as the paving crew works through the area. Paving full width will allow resurfacing to be completed in one day and will provide a better finish. The contractor will attempt to complete the work as quickly as possible to minimize the inconvenience to the public.
 
All asphalt paving work on this section of KY 874 should be completed on Friday, weather permitting.
 
Motorists who regularly travel KY 874/Lisman Road in the Lisman area of Webster County should be aware of this paving project and make advance alternate travel plans. Motorists should be alert for equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow. No marked detour will be provided.
